A LITTLE ABOUT ME!

 

  I’ve been interested entrepreneurship ever since I was a little kid. I’ve always admired people that work for themselves, provide jobs for people in the local community and create goods or services for all of us to enjoy. After I completed my Business degree from Fayetteville State University in 2006, I commissioned in the United States Air Force. During this time, my interest to start a business grew even stronger. I started saving about 15% of my paycheck each month, so I could eventually start a side business while I’m serving my country. However, I had a family and was a bit scared to take this risk. What if I fail? This thought kept coming to me repeatedly. Until one day, I woke up and decided to take control of my life.

 

Over the course of several years, I developed an interested in real estate. I read my first Real Estate Investment book several years ago as a senior in college. Also, I read the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” which fueled my fire more to become an entrepreneur. I loved to watch “Flip my House” and “House Hunters” on HGTV. In 2012, I decided to take my savings and invest in real estate and The Hargett Investment Group was born.

 

I had a lot of friends who had the same entrepreneur passion as me. But like every working professional, many of them were scared to take that risk because they too had families. Some even were the sole income provider within their home. I felt compelled to help. I wanted to provide others with the encouragement to follow their passion and that’s why I started my blog.

 

There’s a lot of motivational speaker and CEOs that make videos about entrepreneurship. However, they don’t focus on the average person who has a career, family and want to be an entrepreneur but, doesn’t want to put their family at risk. I’m here to tell you…you can do it. You can start your business while working a full-time career and grow it to the point you can quit your job. The power is yours!!
